A4 Chargeman Job Scope: Oversees and authorizes all low voltage electrical work within the data centre, ensuring strict compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards. Manages LV electrical installations, distribution boards, sub-distribution boards, and final circuits serving data centre equipment. Conducts electrical switching operations, isolation procedures, and energization activities following established lockout/tagout protocols. Issues and authorizes electrical work permits after verifying safety measures, isolation confirmations, and work scope understanding. Performs electrical inspections and testing using insulation resistance testers, earth loop testers, RCD testers, and multimeters. Supervises electrical contractors and technicians performing installation, modification, or maintenance work. Ensures proper earthing and bonding systems throughout the facility, conducting periodic earth resistance measurements. Monitors electrical safety compliance, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions. Maintains electrical safety documentation including permit logs, test certificates, and inspection reports. Conducts electrical risk assessments for planned work activities. Verifies proper labeling of electrical panels, circuits, and safety signage. Participates in electrical incident investigations and implements lessons learned. Provides electrical safety training and guidance to facility staff. Ensures compliance with local electrical regulations, codes, and wiring standards. Coordinates with utility providers for power supply issues and planned outages. Qualifications: Valid A4 Chargeman certificate or equivalent low voltage competency certification as required by local regulations Technical diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on electrical experience in commercial or industrial facilities Thorough understanding of LV electrical systems, wiring regulations, and safety codes Proficiency in electrical testing procedures and use of test equipment Strong knowledge of electrical isolation procedures and permit-to-work systems Experience in electrical safety management and risk assessment Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards Strong supervisory skills with ability to enforce safety protocols Effective communication skills for training and permit authorizations Location: On-site –Johor Bahru, Malaysia At JLL, we harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to efficiently accelerate meaningful connections between candidates and opportunities.
