What your day-to-day will look like:
- Assist with general interior building maintenance activities to ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently
- Perform daily facility inspections and report on existing conditions, identifying any hazards or areas requiring attention
- Monitor client security systems and spaces, ensuring safety protocols are maintained and escalating issues to the Maintenance Mechanic as necessary
- Identify and address lighting or equipment issues by performing minor repairs such as changing lightbulbs and replacing water filters
- Support client moves by relocating office furniture, equipment, and materials, and delivering supplies as requested
- Participate in emergency response situations as part of the facilities team
- Follow proper safety procedures when storing or using equipment and hazardous materials
- Assist with the Operational Compliance Program (OCP) and complete required technical and safety training
- Update work order status in the ticketing system to maintain accurate maintenance records
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with safety standards and procedures
- Strong listening skills with the ability to understand and execute assigned tasks effectively
- Physical ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support your body repeatedly or continuously for extended periods
- Capability to bend, stretch, twist, and reach with your body, arms, and legs as required by maintenance tasks
- Manual dexterity to quickly move your hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
- Physical capability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects that may be 25 pounds
- Ability to see and hear details clearly in order to identify and diagnose facility problems
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities support, or a related field
- Familiarity with work order management systems and basic computer skills
- Customer service orientation with strong interpersonal communication abilities
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
