Role Description - This is not an attorney or paralegal role.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dallas, TX, for a Data Specialist with a background in providing litigation support.
Data Specialist Responsibilities:
- Provide consulting services to litigation teams on early case assessment, ESI collection, processing, review, analysis, and production
- Advise teams on Technology Assisted Review (TAR) tools, discovery compliance, litigation decisions, and trial preparation/presentation
- Perform hands-on ESI analysis, processing, file manipulation, loading, and conversion services
- Coordinate with client agencies to collect, review, preserve, and provide ESI for investigations and discovery
- Prepare, process, and load ESI from agencies, defendants, and third parties into discovery databases using specialized eDiscovery software
- Review ESI for data integrity, completeness, and corruption; identify and implement corrective action
- Ensure ESI is properly gathered, reviewed, and prepared for disclosure to opposing parties
- Recommend strategies for data management and litigation support to meet discovery obligations and case needs
- Organize case information for efficient automated retrieval through scanning, indexing, and database management
- Utilize eDiscovery software including: NUIX, Cloud Nine Law PreDiscovery, IPRO eScan/Eclipse SE, LexisNexis CaseMap/TimeMap, Relativity, and similar platforms
- Complete initial training on USAO-specific procedures, software, and equipment
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree or three years of additional, directly relevant work experience (over and above the minimum experience requirements for this position) may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
•2 years of experience in a litigation support, electronic discovery, and/or technology support environment, preferably within the Government, but a law firm or top eDiscovery vendor is also acceptable. Experience with eDiscovery, including compiling, analyzing, and synthesizing information to support project task requirements.
•Ability to consistently deliver the highest quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
•Experience in managing multiple tasks, such as those defined in the Duties & Responsibilities above, must be demonstrated.
•An understanding of the litigation lifecycle and electronic discovery/document review processes, procedures, and practices is required.
•Experience performing Administrator and Case Manager functions in Relativity.
•Experience with providing end-user support on all Litigation Support applications, including but not limited to assisting with end-user training.
•Experience with Relativity, Nuix, Concordance, IPRO Eclipse, Cloud Nine Law, Beyond Compare and other applicable eDiscovery software platforms.
•Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Public Trust Clearance.
