Lead the Nightly Rhythm of Production

When the clock strikes 7:00 PM, you set the pace. As a Manufacturing Operations Team Lead, you guide production teams to deliver safe, high‑quality output on schedule while nurturing a People First Culture through coaching and clear direction.

Schedule

3rd Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee 1–2 focused areas or processes on the line, aligning people, materials, and machines to meet plan.
  • Lead production team members in union and/or non‑union settings; troubleshoot daily issues to keep flow steady.
  • Provide regular feedback, conduct performance appraisals, and develop talent.
  • Model and enforce quality, safety, and 5S standards; recommend floor improvements as you see opportunities.
  • Partner with maintenance and drive continuous improvement and value stream initiatives to meet production demand.
  • Use root‑cause analysis to identify and resolve process problems; mobilize support to implement fixes quickly.
  • Respond to product/process nonconformances and close the loop with corrective actions.
  • Implement and sustain 5S so tools and materials are organized and accessible.
  • Recommend and lead changes to machines, processes, materials, and assembly; facilitate Kaizen events.
  • Create value stream maps and establish standard work.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation per company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of manufacturing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A strong willingness to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to plan and organize projects.
  • Clear, effective communication in both written and verbal forms.

  • External contacts: Limited interaction to obtain information, answer questions, or request assistance.
  • Communication skills: Able to read, write, and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, business manuals, technical procedures, and applicable regulations; prepare routine reports and correspondence; comfortably present to internal and external groups.
  • Decision‑making: Make responsible decisions that require evaluating information and applying alternatives or precedents.
  • Complexity and problem‑solving: Work is generally structured, with room to choose actions within standard policies and procedures.
  • Supervisory: Recommend personnel actions (hiring, termination, pay changes); schedule, supervise, and evaluate employees performing similar work.

Working Conditions

  • Physical: Frequent standing, walking/running, sitting, reaching, hearing, talking, visual tasks, and typing; occasional driving, fine and manual dexterity, and upper‑extremity repetitive motion; seldom lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.
  • Non‑physical: Frequent analysis/reasoning, communication/interpretation, math/mental computation, reading, sustained mental activity (e.g., auditing, problem solving, composing reports), and writing.
  • Environmental: Frequent independent work, frequent task changes, and detailed/precise work; occasional high‑volume public contact.
  • Work schedule: Routine shift hours with infrequent overtime, weekend work, or shift rotation.
  • Deadlines: Occasional stress from intermittent or cyclical workloads; at times exposure to distressed individuals in the immediate environment.
