Role Description The Project Estimator is a full-time, on-site position based in Auburn, AL. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for construction and related projects, analyzing plans, specifications, and scope requirements to provide accurate pricing. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project documents, performing quantity take-offs, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors for pricing, and developing budgets and proposals for clients. The Project Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers and other team members to refine estimates, track cost changes, and support bid preparation and negotiation. The role also involves maintaining organized records of estimates, monitoring market pricing trends, and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Cost Management and Budgeting to develop, track, and adjust project financials.
- Proficiency in Construction Estimating and Project Estimation, including quantity take-offs and bid preparation.
- Strong Communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Experience with estimating or project management software and solid Excel skills.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and numerical abilities, and sound judgment in evaluating project risks.
- Ability to work on-site in Auburn, AL, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in construction, civil engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications or technical training are a plus.
