About the Role
JL Schwieters Building Supply Construction, Inc. is hiring Experienced Truss Assemblers for our manufacturing facility in Hugo, MN. This position is for individuals with current, hands-on experience building wood trusses in a production or shop environment.

Pay: $20–$24 /hour DOE
Schedule: Full-time | Day & Night shifts available
Location: Hugo, MN – indoor shop
What You’ll Do
As an Experienced Truss Assembler, you will:
- Lay out and assemble truss components on production tables
- Accurately apply connector plates using hand or pneumatic tools
- Stack, band, and prepare finished trusses for delivery
- Inspect work to ensure quality and build accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Follow instructions from drawings and production leads
You’ll be part of a team that takes pride in precision, speed, and quality.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 1 years of experience building trusses or similar wood assembly work (Currently working in, or within the past 12 months, in a truss manufacturing environment)
- Strong familiarity with tape measures, hand tools, and power tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable attendance and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to ~75 lbs repeatedly
