Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Aides to provide high-quality care and support to residents in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing residents' quality of life through personalized assistance, compassionate caregiving, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, teens and individuals with developmental disabilities. Prior experience in a nursing home, community care, or group homes is preferred but not required. All positions are paid and include comprehensive training to ensure staff are well-equipped to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accordingly using EMR systems
- Provide personal care support with compassion and respect for residents’ dignity
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents’ preferences
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas to promote a healthy environment
- Assist with transportation or driving residents to appointments or activities as needed
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction
- Follow safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans
Skills
- Experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred
- Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and patience
- Familiarity with medication administration and vital signs monitoring
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to operate EMR systems accurately for documentation purposes
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties preferred but not required
- Basic understanding of infection control practices including cleaning protocols
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
