What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at JL Billet?
Leading firearm component manufacturing company has an immediate need for a CNC Programmer/Machinist. Fast paced environment must be able to multitask. Looking for a dependable, creative, flexible, and motivated individual with a strong work ethic. Full-time employment, long-term position, with opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities/Duties, but not limited to:
- Produce CNC Programs for 3,4, and 5 axis machines.
- Proof out programs by doing set up and submit to First Article buy off.
- Develop manufacturing process plan.
- Maintain quality and safety standards and keep records.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
- Maintain tooling and NC Code database.
- Make program adjustments as necessary.
- Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience with CNC Mill Machines.
- NC Code knowledge a must
- Hyper Mill or Mastercam experience
- Experience with Doosan, Makino, Hermle, Brother, Haas CNC mill and lathe a plus.
- GD&T proficiency
- Knowledge of proper measuring tools
- Firearm knowledge a plus
- Work unsupervised.
- Pass FBI/DOJ background check.
- NO Felonies

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
