Job Description and Duties: Tire Changer
- Mount and balance tires- must know how to jack up a vehicle the proper way without causing damage.
- Must have general knowledge of hand tools. Know how to operate air guns and sockets.
- Be able to properly inflate tire and check tire pressure.
- Understand all aspects balancing tires the proper way
- Tire rotations
- Repair flat tires. Must understand all aspects of repairing tires: plugs, patches, clean rims, repair valves.
- Sweep garage areas. Maintain a neat and safe workspace around machines.
- Restock wheel weights
- Re-stock and backstock tires daily
- Receive tires for inventory/check tires into inventory
- Inventory counts
- Light grounds keeping (cut grass/shovel snow)
- Oil air tools
- Answer phone
- Answer customer questions if needed/cordial customer interaction
- Keep warehouse clean/take out trash
- Deliver tires (if needed)
