Role Description The Interior Designer will support the design and execution of mostly residential projects, with the change for occasional commercial/hospitality work, contributing to concept development, space planning, and FF&E selection. Day-to-day tasks include preparing design presentations, creating and updating construction drawings, coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors, creating furnishings budgets and project timelines, and assisting with project documentation and specification.
The role involves sourcing materials and finishes, maintaining project libraries, and participating in client meetings to help translate client needs into cohesive, functional design solutions. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA, with a mix of in-studio collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. The Interior Designer will work closely with the principal and project teams to ensure design quality, schedule adherence, and an elevated and seamless client experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Interior Design, including concept development and FF&E selection for residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
- Strong Space Planning skills, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically balanced layouts that respond to client needs and building constraints.
- Working knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including experience preparing floor plans, elevations, and details using industry-standard software.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, vendors, and consultants, including oversight of installations and on-site problem-solving.
- Relevant design software skills (e.g., AutoCAD or Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and proficiency in typical office productivity tools (Apple, Google, Asana, Dropbox, etc).
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with relevant professional experience.
- Strong visual presentation, drafting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and organization across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management abilities, with capacity to work in a hybrid arrangement in San Francisco, CA.

Depending on your level of experience the starting salary could range between $80,000-$140,000/year.
