Job Description

JK Rentals is hiring a full-time CDL Driver to support the delivery and pickup of tents, temporary structures, event equipment, and related materials for projects across the region and beyond. This role is for a dedicated driver whose primary responsibility is safe, timely transportation; event installation is not part of this role.



Our work supports everything from local events to large-scale multi-day productions, so routes may include both short local trips and longer hauls depending on event location, schedule, and business needs. We are looking for someone dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where schedules can shift with weather, venue access, and event timelines.



What You’ll Do

  • Safely operate company trucks and trailers for scheduled deliveries and pickups
  • Transport tents, temporary structures, flooring, and event-related equipment to and from jobsites, warehouses, and partner locations
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns
  • Secure loads properly and ensure equipment is transported safely and in compliance with DOT requirements
  • Maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and delivery paperwork
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, project managers, warehouse staff, and onsite contacts
  • Manage a mix of local routes and longer-distance hauls based on project needs
  • Assist with loading and unloading coordination as needed, while keeping the role primarily driver-focused
  • Represent JK Rentals professionally at jobsites, venues, and customer locations
  • Follow all company safety procedures, DOT regulations, and vehicle operation standards



Qualifications

  • Valid CDL required
  • Forklift experience required
  • Clean driving record and strong commitment to safe driving practices
  • Ability to operate trucks and trailers confidently and responsibly
  • Understanding of DOT compliance, inspections, and log requirements
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules, route adjustments, and event-driven deadlines
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Experience hauling equipment, trailers, or construction/event-related materials is a plus



Work Schedule & Travel

  • Full-time position
  • Benefits eligible
  • Mix of short and long hauls depending on project location
  • Some early mornings, extended days, and schedule flexibility may be required based on event timelines
  • Overnight travel may will be required, depending on the route and event schedule



Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers safely
  • Ability to secure loads using straps, chains, and related equipment
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed within normal transportation duties
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and changing site conditions
