We own a total of 5 Family Entertainment Centers throughout Northwest Indiana and Orland Park, IL. We are looking for managers at Up Your Alley in Schererville, IN.
As a member of our team, you will work hand in hand with the General Managers running a group of dedicated workers as you oversee every aspect of our business.
Requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May hire and train new staff or assist HR with this process.
- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day workflow
- Assists with employment actions, including discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Monitor departmental performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Manage daily aspects of the department and its staff to ensure projects are completed and goals and customer needs are met.
- Collaborate with other managers to plan, direct, and coordinate programs and projects.
- Manage inventory, approving or facilitating purchases as needed; negotiate related pricing contracts and verify costs and receipts.
- Manage conflicts and resolve complaints about or within the department.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to create and present ideas, think outside the box!
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to maintain a level head during stressful times.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Management experience is required, preference to hotel, restaurant, family entertainment, or customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field not required, but is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, 10 hours at a time on your feet.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects at times, 15 – 100 pounds, occasionally.
