We value collaboration, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, and we are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support both shop and office employees in a hands-on manufacturing environment.


Position Summary

This role works closely with leadership to support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and organizational development. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both production and professional staff and thrives in a growing, fast-paced environment with a strong background in recruiting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, review, and update HR policies and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles, including skilled trades, production staff, project management, and administrative positions
  • Coordinate and conduct onboarding and orientation programs for new hires, including safety training and company culture integration
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, procedures, performance management, and employee relations
  • Support departmental growth by assisting leadership with workforce planning, hiring strategies, and organizational structure
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files
  • Assist with performance management processes, employee development initiatives, and training coordination
  • Support compliance efforts related to workplace safety, labor regulations, and industry-specific requirements
  • Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with JK Concepts’ values and commitment to quality craftsmanship


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or a related industry
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices, employment laws, and equal employment opportunity guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Paycor is a plus, but not required
  • Proven experience managing full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing and screening candidates through offer negotiation and onboarding.
  • Demonstrated success filling high-volume, hard-to-fill, and critical positions across multiple departments and skill levels.
  • Strong candidate sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, job boards, networking, referrals, and other talent acquisition channels.
  • Ability to build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and retention goals.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and recruitment technologies.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills with candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
