Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and coordinate a variety of construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your leadership will drive the successful execution of complex building tasks, including additions, kitchens, bathrooms, window installation among many more remodeling projects. As a Lead Carpenter, you will serve as a key point of contact on-site, guiding teams through technical challenges and ensuring adherence to blueprints and schematics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your construction expertise while mentoring team members and contributing to high-quality project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction crews in the installation of all forms of Residential and some light Commercial Remodeling.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to guide project execution
- Coordinate with your team to schedule work phases and ensure timely completion of projects
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and other machinery necessary for construction tasks
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and quality specifications
- Conduct dimensional measurements, interpret technical drawings, and verify accuracy using tape measures and other tools
- Manage material inventory and ensure proper handling of materials such as wood framing, siding, windows, doors and trim materials.
- Provide mentorship to team members on techniques such as drywall finishing, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, window installation, door installation and flooring.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work progress and report any issues or delays promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on Residential Remodeling.
- Good knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Hands-on experience with roofing, siding, window installation, door installation, drywall , painting and all remodeling projects
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, tape measures, and other measuring devices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Excellent understanding of construction plans and ability to execute tasks according to specifications
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required on-site
- Prior experience in framing carpentry (including woodworking), trim carpentry, mechanical work is required .
- Strong communication skills for coordinating teams and interpreting technical instructions
- Valid certifications related to construction safety or equipment operation are preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
