Role Description The Lead Preschool Teacher is a part-time or full time, on-site role based in Hebron, KY. This role is responsible for planning and delivering daily lessons that promote school readiness, including activities that support pre-kindergarten skills and overall child development. The Lead Preschool Teacher designs and implements curriculum, creates a structured yet flexible classroom routine, and ensures a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Daily tasks include preparing learning materials, leading group and individual activities, observing and documenting child progress, and maintaining open communication with families and center leadership. The Lead Preschool Teacher also mentors assistant teachers, adheres to licensing and safety standards, and participates in staff meetings and professional development.
Qualifications
- Ability to design and implement effective Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development for preschool and Kindergarten readiness.
- Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Education principles and best practices.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and team members.
- Relevant experience working in preschool or early learning settings, preferably in a lead or head teacher role.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of child safety, licensing regulations, and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to maintain a nurturing, patient, and inclusive environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
