Primary Responsibility

Understand the value the product delivers and why it is important to the business. Responsible for supporting the successful introduction of products to the market and driving awareness and adoption of them, including providing sales teams with the knowledge and tools they need to be successful; developing customer-facing presentations and marketing materials; updating and maintaining website content; and supporting the delivery of marketing programmes required for demand generation and category growth.

List areas of daily and long-term responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise content on the website and digital channels to support product awareness and sales.
• Collect and prepare content for promotional campaigns, sales activities and marketing materials.
• Liaise with suppliers and relevant departments including Sales, Graphics as well as Category Buyers
• Understand customer needs and their unique shopper needs and insights.
• Work side-by-side with Category Managers and Marketing team to deliver a product experience that exceeds customer and market expectations.
• Build strong relationship with current and new vendors, indirectly involve into negotiating prices and contracts with the Category Managers.
• Review new product requests and gather feedback on needs of new products
• Assist with planning promotional and marketing activities for product categories.
• Work with Marketing and Design teams to ensure products are published across all relevant channels.
• Support the management of product information, pricing and promotional activity.
• Work with Sales and Marketing teams to increase product awareness and sales performance.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining online promotions.
• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to grow product categories.
• Continually test, review and evaluate products to develop category knowledge and market understanding.

• Provide feedback to enhance product performance and service delivery
• Seek to improve relations with regard to the provision of efficient communications to facilitate product development and issue management
• To ensure that the company internal/external customer care & equal opportunity policies are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for Health & Safety
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business requirements
• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the department and JJ Food Service goals.

Education

Bachelor degree in a business related subject is desirable however relevant experience will also be considered.

Physical Requirements

Lifting: The job will involve manual handling (lifting or moving products or equipment). You will be provided with training to undertake manual handling safely, using the equipment provided where necessary.

Physical requirements: pushing, pulling the trolley to carry items occasionally.

Equipment: you will be trained to use appropriate equipment depending on the load you are required to lift.

• Commercial approach
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. It is critical that you have good content writing and campaign management skills and have a hands-on approach to the development of high quality marketing materials

• Strong analytical, administrative and organisational skills and great attention to detail
• Able to deal with multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to communicate ideas and information effectively, both verbally and in writing, ensuring information and messages are understood and achieve the desired impact.
