Head Start is a federally-funded, national child and family development program which provides comprehensive services for pregnant women, children from birth to age five, and their families. Services for children promote school readiness, and include early education, health, nutrition, mental health, and services for children with special needs. Services for parents promote family engagement, and include parent leadership and social service supports. This position is located at the JJ Flynn Elementary school in Burlington, VT. 40 hours/week, approximately 42 weeks/year (summer layoff). Rate of pay during first 60- working day probationary period is $23.73 - $28.08/hour; post probationary rate of pay is $24.07 - $28.76/hour.
