Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demonstrations
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product visibility
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and courteously
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks
- Use strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers, including bilingual interactions when applicable
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional phone etiquette
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking and product demos confidently
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment is advantageous
