Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic construction management team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support project execution from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction processes, project coordination, and management software tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and Civil 3D. Prior construction site experience and a solid understanding of blueprint reading and schematics are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software.
- Support project coordination efforts across multiple teams to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to facilitate accurate project execution.
- Aid in construction estimating processes and contribute to cost control initiatives.
- Collaborate with project teams to monitor progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage document control using tools like ProCore and Bluebeam, ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Participate in site visits to oversee construction activities, verify compliance with safety standards, and assess progress.
- Assist in contract administration, including tracking change orders and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Support project scheduling efforts by coordinating timelines and resources effectively.
- Contribute to project management tasks such as risk management, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
Requirements
- Proven experience with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, project scheduling, and project management principles.
- Construction site experience with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and contracts accurately.
- Familiarity with construction management processes such as contracts administration, change order tracking, and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability in project coordination and communication across diverse teams.
- Knowledge of construction site safety standards and practices.
- Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail.
- Relevant educational background or certifications in construction management or related fields preferred. Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
