Videographer Wanted
My name is Jiwoo Choi, chef/owner of Choi’s San Diego and founder of JIWOOS, a new creative communications agency specializing in hospitality and lifestyle brands.
Choi’s started as a small restaurant with a young team and no marketing budget. But through strong storytelling, branding, and consistent creative direction, we’ve grown into one of San Diego’s well-known emerging restaurant brands. Guests, chefs, and even industry professionals often ask who runs our marketing. The answer has always been: we did. In-house.
That success created demand.
That demand created opportunity.
And that opportunity is now becoming JIWOOS, an agency built on real-world hospitality understanding, strong creative identity, and an expanding network of chefs, founders, and operators.
We are at the beginning of something with enormous potential, and we’re looking for the right videographer to grow with us.
Who We’re Looking For
A professional, reliable videographer/editor who:
- Has a strong eye for composition, lighting, and pacing
- Understands short-form storytelling for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Can shoot in fast-paced environments (kitchens, events, service hours)
- Can edit efficiently and deliver consistent, polished work
- Brings creativity without ego
- Communicates well and meets deadlines
- Understands that hospitality content isn’t staged - it’s alive, dynamic, and needs a filmmaker’s instinct
You don’t have to be perfect, but you must have taste.

Requirements
- Strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your shooting and editing style
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve
- Ability to work onsite for shoots (Southern California)
- Flexible schedule for occasional evening or event shoots
- Professional attitude, consistency, reliability
- Start-up mindset
