We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Preschool Afternoon Aide to join our early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily classroom routines and educational activities tailored to preschool-aged children.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and positive behavior management.
- Support children with their personal care needs, including diapering, toileting, and handwashing.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and creativity.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support each child's individual needs.
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures, including first aid when necessary.
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, or childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Previous experience in toddler care, babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles demonstrates valuable skills for this position.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to fostering a safe and engaging learning environment for all children.
