What You’ll Do:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance using established procedures.
- Complete basic mechanical services such as oil/filter changes, lubrication, and minor adjustments.
- Identify and recommend additional necessary repairs; secure customer approval for work.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service van.
- Document work performed accurately and submit required reports promptly.
- Attend company-provided technical training to grow your skills.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company standards in customer interactions.
- Drive safely and responsibly while operating the company vehicle.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Technical school training or relevant coursework (e.g., BOCES, vocational programs, small engine repair) is a plus, but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
- Willingness to learn, follow procedures, and take initiative.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- This is a hands-on role that involves frequent lifting, bending, and tool use.
- Must be able to safely operate service equipment and use proper PPE.
- Ability to follow instructions, diagnose basic mechanical issues, and solve problems independently.
- Basic math and written/verbal communication skills.
- Work is primarily performed at customer sites, indoors and outdoors, in varying conditions.
- Travel is required within the assigned territory using a company-provided van.
