Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Level 2 Diesel Mechanic to join our second-shift maintenance team. In this role, you will perform intermediate-level diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on our fleet of diesel vehicles and equipment. Working from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, you will play a critical role in ensuring our fleet is safe, compliant, and ready for operation the following morning.
Core Responsibilities
- Repairs: Perform repairs on brakes, suspensions, steering, air systems, and exhaust components.
- PM Maintenance: Complete routine preventive maintenance inspections, oil changes, and safety checks.
- Computer Diagnostics: Utilize electronic diagnostic software to read codes and troubleshoot system faults.
- Documentation: Accurately log all work performed, parts used, and repair times in the fleet management system.
- Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized work bay and strictly follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.
Role Requirements
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience as a diesel mechanic or technician.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school degree in
- Physical Skills: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
