Overview
Jireh Transportation is seeking a dedicated and responsible CDL Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing safe and reliable transportation for our passengers, which may include children with/without special needs. As a Bus Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all passengers are transported to their destinations safely and on time while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate the bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the safety of passengers by conducting pre-trip inspections and monitoring vehicle performance.
- Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking the bus, providing support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized bus interior, ensuring a pleasant environment for all riders.
- Manage behavior on the bus, ensuring that all passengers follow safety protocols and guidelines.
- Document any incidents or issues that arise during transportation and report them to the appropriate authorities.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate schedules and routes effectively.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Valid CDL License
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in senior care or childcare is preferred but not mandatory.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to write reports and document incidents clearly and accurately.
- Experience in behavior management is beneficial for maintaining order on the bus.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
