About the Role:


The Senior Systems Engineer plays a critical role in designing, integrating, and maintaining complex systems within the professional, scientific, and technical services industry. This position is responsible for ensuring system reliability and performance through thorough root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize existing systems to meet organizational goals. The Senior Systems Engineer will lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve system issues, minimizing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency. Ultimately, this position drives continuous improvement initiatives that support the company’s technical infrastructure and strategic objectives.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a closely related discipline.

  • Proven experience with root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action implementation.

  • Strong knowledge of system integration principles and practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) with PTC Windchill


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Perform root‑cause analysis on system, component, and subsystem issues.

  • Support system upgrades and integration of new or revised components.

  • Assist in troubleshooting activities and provide technical recommendations.

  • Conduct engineering tests, collect data, and prepare clear summary reports.

  • Document engineering findings and maintain accurate technical records.

  • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and improvement initiatives.

  • Coordinate with engineering, technical support, and operations staff to ensure effective issue resolution and system performance.


Responsibilities:



  • Lead the integration of complex systems and subsystems to ensure seamless operation and compatibility.

  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis to identify and resolve system failures or performance issues.

  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified problems and prevent recurrence.

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management teams to support system design and deployment.

  • Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency.

  • Document system configurations, processes, and corrective actions to maintain comprehensive technical records.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

  • Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.

Corrective action skills enable the engineer to systematically address and resolve faults, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Root cause analysis is used to investigate failures deeply, allowing the engineer to identify underlying problems rather than just symptoms. Preferred skills, such as leadership and advanced diagnostic capabilities, further empower the engineer to lead teams effectively and utilize sophisticated tools to optimize system functionality.








This position is contingent upon contract award

Salary : $76,933 - $115,400
