Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and exceptional service. Your primary responsibilities will include managing guest seating, handling cashier duties, and providing excellent customer service to create a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in food service or hospitality, and a passion for guest relations.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
- Seat guests and assist with any special seating requests
- Handle cashier responsibilities using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Take reservations and manage guest flow during busy periods
- Provide menu information and answer guest questions courteously
- Maintain cleanliness of the host stand area and ensure a welcoming environment
- Assist with guest inquiries over the phone with professional phone etiquette
- Support the serving staff by coordinating guest seating and service flow as needed
- Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering prompt and attentive service throughout their visit
Requirements
- Previous host/host experience or background in food service or hospitality preferred
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in restaurant or hotel guest services is desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required
