The guest experience begins the moment someone walks through our doors. JING Scottsdale is hiring hosts who bring warmth, confidence, and organization to a busy restaurant. We combine sushi, steak, seafood, and signature cocktails with upscale dining and a lively social atmosphere.

We’re looking for someone who can make guests feel welcome while keeping reservations, seating, and communication running smoothly. You should enjoy connecting with people, stay composed when the lobby gets busy, and take pride in making every arrival and departure feel personal.

Pay and benefits

What you’ll do

• Welcome arriving guests promptly and professionally, and thank departing guests for visiting.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and seating according to restaurant procedures and management direction.
• Provide realistic wait-time estimates and keep guests informed of changes.
• Maintain an accurate understanding of table availability and coordinate seating with servers, support staff, and management.
• Answer calls courteously, assist with reservation requests and restaurant questions, and direct event inquiries to the appropriate team.
• Communicate celebrations, seating preferences, accessibility needs, and other guest requests clearly and discreetly.
• Escort guests to their tables and help ensure tables and menus are ready for service.
• Keep the entrance, host stand, waiting areas, and menus clean and organized.
• Handle guest concerns calmly and involve management when needed.
• Complete opening and closing duties and support teammates throughout service.

What we’re looking for

• Previous hosting, reservations, or guest-service experience preferred.
• Experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant, steakhouse, seafood restaurant, or hotel is highly preferred.
• Warm, confident communication in person and over the phone.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several priorities at once.
• Composure and courtesy when handling busy arrivals, changing reservations, or unexpected delays.
• Familiarity with OpenTable or a similar reservation system is a plus.
• Reliable attendance, professional conduct, and a willingness to support teammates.
• Receptiveness to coaching and commitment to consistent service standards.

Schedule and requirements

Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is preferred. Please share your availability when applying.

Applicants must:

• Be legally authorized to work in the United States and meet applicable employment-age requirements.
• Complete any training required for the position by JING or applicable law.
• Be able to perform essential host duties, including greeting and escorting guests, managing reservations, communicating with the team, and maintaining the host area, with or without reasonable accommodation.
