Duties
- Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring timely delivery and presentation standards are met
- Assist with food handling, plating, and presentation to uphold quality standards
- Clear and clean tables by bussing dishes, glassware, and utensils efficiently to maintain a clean dining environment
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including ingredient handling and setup
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations, including wiping down surfaces and organizing supplies
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy trays or boxes of supplies to prevent injury
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely service and address guest needs
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders efficiently
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including bussing, serving, and guest services, enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with team members and guests
- Previous banquet or hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory
