Production Team Member - Packaging

Location: Jimmy’s Salad Dressing & Dips – Minnesota

Reports to: Production Manager

Overview:

As a Food Manufacturing Team Member, you will play a key role in the production and packaging of high-quality food products. You will work collaboratively within a team to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations across various stages of the production process, from ingredient preparation to final packaging. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality product is produced. This position offers a great opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their career in food manufacturing, with room for growth and development within the company.

Compensation is hourly and pay starts at $18.

Production Responsibilities:

• Production Line Operations: Operate and maintain equipment used in food packaging.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of raw materials and finished products, ensuring they meet established specifications and safety standards.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Report any hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
• Packaging and Labeling: Ensure products are properly packaged and labeled, ready for shipment or storage.
• Inventory Management: Assist in inventory checks and maintain accurate records of materials used and products produced.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure production goals are met.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in training, share insights, and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Experience:

• Prior experience in food manufacturing or production environments is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Skills:

• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and recipes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  Non-Negotiable Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to wear hearing protection
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  Hours:
  • Typical shifts are Monday through Thursday, 6:00am~4:30pm
  • End times may vary based on production needs, with occasional overtime required during peak seasons.
