What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crew Member position at Jimmy John's?
Our Jimmy John's restaurant is now hiring In-shop Crew Members for immediate start dates. Successful applicants will be motivated, have good social skills, be responsible, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) environment. In-Shop Responsibilities:
- Customer service skills - greeting and serving each guest promptly
- Maintain a clean work area and help to maintain store cleanliness throughout the shift
- Menu knowledge - needed for making sandwiches quickly and with proper ingredients/amounts
- Answering phones for customer orders/questions
- Cashier responsibilities - cash handling and customers communications - taking orders accurately
- Organizing and bagging delivery orders
- The ability to tactfully communicate with supervisors, teammates, and customers - both verbally and in writing
Additional In-shop Requirements:
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must enjoy serving others and being part of a restaurant crew
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (both Full-time and Part-time available)
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift
• Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F
