Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Supervise and motivate team members across shifts, promoting a positive work environment and delivering excellent customer service
- Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling to maintain quality and consistency in line with safety regulations
- Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of ingredients and supplies
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Conduct staff training sessions on food service procedures, customer interaction, and safety protocols to enhance team performance
- Support management in budgeting, shift management, and implementing operational improvements to maximize efficiency
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant management roles within quick service, casual dining, or fine dining establishments
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on staff training & development and team management
- Background in hospitality management with expertise in kitchen management, food production, catering, or banquet services
- Familiarity with inventory control practices and food industry regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to interview candidates, train staff, and foster a collaborative team environment
