Plant Manager
Department: Production
Compensation: Hourly
Reports to: President
In Case of Absence: Duties will be absorbed as necessary per the Director of Operation.

Job Summary
The Plant Manager will oversee the manufacturing of products in the production and packing department, ensuring that quantity and quality requirements are met.
Essential Job Duties
Oversee production and packaging operations; assist as needed to ensure efficiency
Develop and manage production schedules to meet inventory and shipment targets
Print and manage production batch sheets, placards, and product labels based on production needs
Input and maintain accurate lot codes and expiration dates in tracking systems
Report production outputs, including adobo/marinade quantities, to management
Collaborate with procurement on ingredient availability and shortages
Coordinate receiving and shipping activities with distribution partners (e.g., JM Distribution/Bafar CARD)
Inventory & Materials Management
Oversee inventory control for raw materials (meat, spices) and packaging supplies
Maintain inventory of sanitation and operational supplies (e.g., Cintas, gloves, chemicals)
Work closely with the Purchasing Department to track, verify, and report inventory levels
Coordinate with vendors such as TAG chemicals for supply management
Equipment, Maintenance & Facilities
Coordinate and authorize maintenance and repairs for production equipment
Work closely with Maintenance on daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventive maintenance (W/O tracking)
Communicate and coordinate service with external technicians, including:
Boiler systems (Miura) – including water sampling
Water systems (Culligan) – including water sampling
Air compressor systems (Atlas Copco)
Oversee and support annual boiler inspections
Food Safety, Quality & Compliance
Collaborate with HACCP/SQF team on changes to formulations, specifications, processes, and SOPs
Ensure food safety and quality standards are followed during production and packaging
Conduct SQF internal audits
Perform internal mock recalls and SQF mock recall exercises
Communicate with USDA inspectors regarding operations, including overtime coordination
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Participate in and support Safety Committee initiatives (evacuation drills, fire extinguisher checks, backflow testing, etc.)
Ensure readiness for and compliance with unannounced inspections, including:
AQMD (boiler/emissions) inspections
Stormwater inspections
Identify and implement continuous improvements and cost-control measures
Leadership & Administrative Responsibilities
Supervise daily workflow of the production department
Recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
Provide timely and constructive performance evaluations
Handle employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policies
Perform other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience
Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience required

Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
Pay: $33.00 - $37.00 per hour
