Job Summary:
Jim’s Well Service is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team as a Driller’s Assistant. This position supports the lead driller in all aspects of well installation projects and assists with service work and maintenance of well systems. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, thrives in outdoor environments, and is eager to learn and grow within the drilling industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead driller in the setup, operation, and breakdown of drilling rigs
- Support well installation projects from start to completion
- Perform routine service work and maintenance on well systems
- Help maintain equipment and ensure job sites are clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Travel to job sites as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and performing manual labor
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus
Preferred Traits:
- Responsible and safety-conscious
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Mechanical aptitude is helpful
