What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Front of House position at Jim’s Smokin Que?
Jim's Smokin' Que is actively hiring for multiple cashier positions. Our Mission at Jim's Smokin' Que is centered around craft BBQ and excellent customer service. Our customers are our family and we treat them as such. A cashier at Jim's Smokin' Que must be outgoing, organized, and be able to work under pressure. Often times we have lines out the door and our cashiers must remain calm and collected while providing legendary customer service that our guests have come to expect. The restaurant is open daily with options to work half or full shifts. Position is also responsible for general duties such as stocking and opening/closing cleaning.
Duties:
- Operate POS register and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide legendary customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Answer customer inquiries and assist with product selection
- Able to answer the phone and take orders and listen for details and assist customer with ordering via online POS system.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Previous experience in cashiering or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems and computer skills preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling customer orders and payments
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
