Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming using hand tools and power tools
- Perform surface cleaning and minor repairs to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Use airless paint spraying equipment and buffing tools to achieve smooth finishes
- Assist with auto body repair tasks such as dent removal, panel alignment, and auto glass replacement
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Support vehicle detailing and finishing processes to meet quality standards
- Collaborate with technicians on auto restoration projects and vehicle maintenance tasks
- Operate welding equipment when necessary for structural repairs or modifications
Requirements
- Previous dealership experience or background in auto body repair preferred
- Knowledge of auto painting techniques, including airless spray systems and buffing methods
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and auto glass replacement techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes
- Experience with auto estimating and customer service is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various repair tasks
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Prior experience with auto welding, auto painting, detailing, or mechanic work is advantageous
- Must be able to work safely with all equipment and adhere to safety protocols
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.44 per hour
