Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide excellent service throughout their visit
- Operate Toast POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling food items and maintaining inventory levels
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry with a strong focus on coffee experience
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling, and proper serving techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a dynamic café environment
