Jiggy Coffee is seeking a friendly and dependable Cashier to support customers and daily café operations. This role involves taking orders, processing payments, answering general questions about coffee and menu items, organizing completed orders, and maintaining a clean and welcoming service area. The ideal candidate is courteous, accurate, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced coffee shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Take coffee, beverage, and food orders accurately
- Confirm order details and communicate customer requests with café staff
- Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments accurately
- Answer general questions about coffee, beverages, food, and menu options
- Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests
- Help organize completed orders for dine-in, takeaway, or pickup
- Keep the register, counter, and service areas clean and organized
- Restock cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies
- Assist baristas and coworkers during busy service periods
- Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures
- Support opening, closing, and other routine café duties
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful
- Friendly and professional approach to customers
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Comfortable learning POS systems and payment procedures
- Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy
- Able to stay organized while handling multiple customer orders
