- Assist in seating guests and maintaining waitlists during busy hours.
- Support the kitchen team by helping with basic food prep and maintaining cleanliness.
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, practicing good phone etiquette.
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders and payments accurately.
- Maintain organization of dining areas and ensure food safety standards are upheld.
Skills
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage seating arrangements and maintain cleanliness.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and reservations accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards is a plus.
- Ability to stay calm and friendly during busy periods while providing guest relations.
