What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Account Executive position at JIA Insurance Agency?
Open Position: MUST HAVE 2 years Commercial Lines Experience, your duties will include:
- Maintain and service insurance policies in agency management system
- Answer Phones, facilitate daily routines, answering emails and requests
- Learn commercial carriers, submission process, carrier communications
- Understand the sales process and learn our lines of business sold
Qualifications:
- Spanish speaker preferred not necessary, to assist clients who predominantly speak Spanish
- A valid P&C License, is required
- The ideal candidate will have some insurance experience and we will train.
- Customer service skills a must, genuinely enjoy working to help clients
- Strong attention to detail with time management and ability to multi-task
- Solid computer, grammar and ability to write business emails and communication
- Ability to perform mathematically transactions and understand financing practices.

- Experience with Agency Management Systems: Hawksoft, AMS360 or other system
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe applications
- Effective skills in communication, with an ability to provide specific details in a concise understandable manner
- Previous/current skills in working with multiple commercial carriers
Positions Details:
- Position is in a commercial insurance sales office environment, no personal lines sold
- Our agency is a insurance brokerage, not a captive agency
- Full or Part time position available, Monday – Friday (no weekends)
- This is not a hybrid or remote office position, required to work in the office
- Hourly or salary position, depending on candidate and their needs
- This is not a “commission only” position, this is a regularly paid position (5th/20th of the month)
- This position is designed to either have the candidate stay in Customer Service or move up into Sales
- Paid Time Off available, 5 major Holidays off
- Cross selling to current clients to provide new opportunities for the Agency to grow
