Duties
- Conduct routine inspections of solar panel arrays, inverters, wiring, and mounting structures to identify potential issues or safety hazards
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose faults accurately
- Perform repairs on high voltage and low voltage electrical components following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols
- Install fixtures, wiring, and electrical components on rooftops or ground-mounted systems with precision and care
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation and maintenance activities
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and construction site machinery such as forklifts safely and effectively
- Collaborate with construction teams during system upgrades or new installations to ensure seamless integration
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and system performance for compliance and reporting purposes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical maintenance within construction or renewable energy sectors
- Strong knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage electrical systems with the ability to troubleshoot complex circuits
- Familiarity with NEC standards, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and fixture installation techniques
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, roofing work, plumbing (for system connections), and forklift operation preferred
- Ability to work safely at heights on rooftops or elevated structures while adhering to safety guidelines
- Construction site experience with a focus on electrical systems installation or maintenance is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system troubleshooting and repairs
- Valid certifications related to electrical work; additional training in roofing or plumbing is a plus
