This role supports strategic analysis, future force planning, and capability development efforts focused on U.S. military force structure, readiness, operational data, and capability analysis across Air, Land, Sea, Space, Cyber, and Special Operations domains.
This position will require on-site/in-person support at the Mark Center Building in Alexandria, VA.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Support the collection, organization, validation, and maintenance of U.S. force structure, readiness, deployment, and capability data.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of databases supporting strategic analysis and future force planning initiatives.
- Support data extraction, transformation, and loading activities across multiple classified and unclassified data environments.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders and mission partners to collect, refine, and verify operational and capability-related datasets.
- Assist with documenting data methodologies, transformation processes, metadata, and business rules associated with JDS data products.
- Support the development of tailored datasets for studies, analyses, modeling and simulation activities, and other analytic efforts.
- Conduct research and analysis related to military capabilities, operational readiness, force posture, and deployment activities.
- Assist with the preparation of technical reports, briefings, presentations, and study support materials.
- Support customer requests, data calls, and rapid response analytic efforts in accordance with mission requirements.
- Participate in strategic studies, assessments, and future force planning activities supporting Department-level initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to data automation, standardization, and analytic workflows.
- Active SECRET clearance required; TOP SECRET/SCI eligibility preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience supporting DoD, military operations analysis, force structure analysis, operations research, intelligence analysis, or related defense analytic efforts.
- Experience working with defense-related datasets, databases, or operational data environments.
- Familiarity with military operations, readiness reporting, force structure concepts, or strategic analysis activities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment supporting senior government stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
