We are hiring a Massachusetts-licensed Asbestos Supervisor to lead abatement projects in compliance with MA DLS (454 CMR 28.00), EPA NESHAP, and OSHA standards. This role oversees field operations, safety, and crew performance on residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
Responsibilities
- Act as the on-site MA Asbestos Supervisor on active projects
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal asbestos regulations
- Supervise crews (laborers, techs, foremen) and daily field operations
- Set up containments, negative air systems, and decon units
- Enforce PPE, safety protocols, and proper abatement methods (wet methods, HEPA)
- Run daily safety meetings and maintain site safety plans
- Complete required documentation (daily logs, timesheets, waste records, driver logs)
- Submit ANF notifications, amendments, and project close-outs
- Coordinate with PMs to manage labor, materials, and schedules
- Communicate with clients, inspectors, and industrial hygienists
- Stop work if unsafe or non-compliant conditions arise
Work Conditions
- Physically demanding (lifting 50 lbs, standing, crawling, confined spaces)
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Exposure to hazardous environments and equipment
- Occasional travel may be required
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Asbestos Supervisor License (required)
- 2–5 years asbestos abatement experience (MA experience preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read/write English and follow safety documentation
- Must be clean-shaven for respirator use
