What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Crew Member position at JH Hiers Construction?
We are a Lowcountry Site Preparation Company, specializing in site clearing, earthwork, utilities, and paving. We are currently searching for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a member of our construction staking and layout crew.
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- General surveying knowledge.
- Experience with robotic instruments.
- Experience with GPS rover and base set up.
- Experience with staking of roads (grading) curb and gutter.
- Experience with utility staking.
- Experience with automatic level (setting benchmarks) or Trimble surveying equipment.
- A valid driver license.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willing to work outside on various jobsites.
- Physical ability to perform related tasks such as bending, reaching, standing for long periods of time.
- Positive attitude to help provide a great work environment
- Work well with others (Coworkers, Supervisors, Employees)
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work safe each and every day.
