Position Summary:

Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and define project scope with sponsors.
- Work with a project team to develop specifications, cost estimates, drawing reviews, and provide engineering support during the construction phase for buildings and utility projects.
- Oversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of science in structural engineering.
- 5-10 years experience performing structural engineering tasks including the development of contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates.
- Working knowledge of building codes and standards.
- Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFI's, construction inspections, etc.).
- EIT certificate and/or PE license
- Engineering consulting experience
Candidates must have an active DOE L security clearance.
