Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain overhead communications lines using bucket trucks, cranes, and rigging equipment.
- Climb poles and structures safely to perform inspections, repairs, and upgrades on electrical lines and equipment.
- Operate bucket trucks and other specialized equipment to access work sites efficiently and safely.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute construction and maintenance tasks.
- Perform cabling, wiring, and grounding tasks adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for safety and compliance.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously while working with high voltage systems, including proper PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Support IT infrastructure projects related to utility systems where applicable, ensuring seamless integration of electrical components.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial or commercial electrician roles with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with rigging, welding, bucket operation, climbing poles or structures, and bucket truck operation.
- Familiarity with construction site procedures, blueprint reading, utility locating techniques, and NEC standards.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring as well as high voltage systems used in utility distribution networks.
- Field service experience working on electrical infrastructure projects in outdoor or challenging environments.
- Ability to operate ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electrical faults.
- Prior experience in tree trimming or vegetation management around power lines is a plus. Join us to energize your career!
