We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet quality standards, safety regulations, and industry codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from pipe systems to structural frameworks, contributing to the success of our construction and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, and other specialized welding techniques to join metal parts with precision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and setting up components using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct pipe threading, tube bending, and assembly tasks in accordance with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards.
- Use calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to ensure accurate measurements and proper fit-up of parts.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to fire sprinkler fitting, HVAC systems, pipeline installation, and general construction site practices.
- Assist with rigging, soldering, plumbing, maintenance tasks, and other related duties as needed on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding within manufacturing or construction environments.
- Skilled in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and fire sprinkler fitting.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, tube bending, assembly processes, and HVAC systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to pipeline fabrication and structural welding.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and schematics for precise fabrication work.
Prior construction site experience including rigging and maintenance tasks is a plus.
