Duties
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately assemble control panels and electrical enclosures.
- Wire electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, terminal blocks, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) following IPC 610 standards for electronic assembly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and machining equipment to prepare components and ensure precise fitting and alignment.
- Solder surface mount technology (SMT) components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) with accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct electrical testing using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to verify circuit integrity and troubleshoot issues during assembly.
- Maintain mechanical knowledge to support panel assembly by integrating mechanical parts with electrical components effectively.
- Follow safety protocols and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical wiring, panel assembly, or related manufacturing roles with a strong understanding of schematics and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with PCB assembly processes, surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and IPC 610 standards.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical components, and control systems used in industrial automation.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and machining equipment efficiently and safely.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of mechanical assembly processes and use of hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent troubleshooting skills for electrical testing and diagnostics.
