JG Baird Management is looking for a Night Load Coordinator to start work at our Canyon, TX location.

Hours: 6:00 pm - 6 am
Pay Rate: $13.00/per hour
Job Title: Canyon Load Coordinator
Reports To: Canyon Terminal Manager
Job Summary:
The Canyon Load Coordinator plays a critical role in a 24/7 operation, ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of samples and paperwork to drivers. This position involves managing driver interactions, meticulously logging trailer movements, conducting yard checks, and effectively communicating with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driver Assistance and Sample Handling:
- Assist drivers at the window, providing the correct samples and associated paperwork.
- Maintain accurate logs of samples entering and leaving the facility.
- Verify load information before handing samples to drivers and before placing samples in the refrigerator.
- Properly store lab samples at the bottom of the refrigerator for later shipment.
- Yard Management and Trailer Tracking:
- Drive the yard and conduct a yard check between 2:00pm and 3:00pm (daytime shift).
- Compare your list with the Yard Check spreadsheet, reporting or correcting discrepancies before shift change.
- Maintain accurate trailer logs, documenting all equipment entering and leaving the yard.Communicate with maintenance regarding trailers needing "Out of Service" status.
- Communication and Customer Service:
- Answer phone calls from drivers and outside sources, answering their questions to the best of your ability.
- Take messages and send emails to the appropriate contact if unable to answer a call.
- Report issues to the correct person and/or people.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics and transportation is a plus.
