What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Intern position at JFG Family Office?
GENERAL SUMMARY:
We are a Family Office firm that started as a private investment company for our founding family. With over 40 years of experience as a single-family office, we understand the responsibility, complexities and opportunities that come with success. Our clients are in a unique position to leverage the collective wisdom, networks, and experiences of all the families that have joined forces with JFG.
The Company is looking for five rotational summer internships that will primarily be focused on supporting our staff across our operations, investments, and advising teams. In addition, the position will work in partnership with internal team managers while focusing on reporting, monitoring, and researching private capital positions (private equity, private credit, and real assets). This will be a holistic internship, where students will have the opportunity to work across several teams and learn the functions of a multi-family office.
Essential Functions:
- Be a part of a team that emphasizes cooperation, teamwork and effective communication
- Assist the Operations team in review of quarterly client reports
- Review private capital email correspondence
- Prepare various in-depth reports and analyses
- Participation in Investment Committee meetings
- Meet with private equity, credit, and real asset managers and join the meetings with curiosity and a willingness to ask questions
- Review fund reports and summarize the information for our advising team
Knowledge:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with colleagues
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work as a “self starter” with minimal supervision
- Strong quantitative/analytical aptitude
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- General computer literacy

- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or working toward undergraduate degree (preferably in finance, economics or business)
- Incoming Juniors and Seniors
Internship will be paid $20 and a minimum of 10 hours per week on the job will be expected with preference to work 40 hours a week.
