GENERAL SUMMARY:
JFG is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Portfolio Manager to join our investment team, focusing primarily on the Real Assets investments. This critical role will be responsible for leading due diligence and research on prospective private market investment opportunities and providing ongoing oversight and strategic management of Real Asset investments within client portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in various Real Asset sectors and a proven track record in private markets analysis and portfolio management.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead investment due diligence on private market opportunities within the Real Assets asset class including real estate, energy, infrastructure, oil & gas, natural resources, etc.
· Conduct asset class and market research to support investment initiatives and drive portfolio strategy.
· Communicate with clients regarding investment opportunities, market updates, and portfolio performance
· Provide investment recommendations within client portfolios based on portfolio allocations, client needs, and individual investment characteristics.
· Communicate with managers of existing real assets investment to provide oversight and regular communication to the firm in regards to ongoing developments within portfolios.
· Lead regular in-depth due diligence processes for new investments and prepare investment memos/materials for investment committee review.
· Communicate and recommend new investment opportunities to investment committee.
· Be a part of a team that emphasizes cooperation, teamwork, and effective communication.
Knowledge:
· Broad knowledge of Real Assets investments, investment structures, asset classes, portfolio construction, financial markets, macroeconomics, due diligence practices, investment monitoring, valuation techniques, and fund legal documentation
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with colleagues, the Investment Committee, and clients
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Ability to work as a “self starter” with minimal supervision
· Strong quantitative/analytical aptitude
· Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
· Familiarity with risk analytics and evaluation tools
· Commitment to teamwork and culture of excellence

Qualifications:
· Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
· MBA or Masters in Finance preferred
· Charted Financial Analyst designation or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation preferred
· 5 years investment experience required
· Private markets due diligence experience required
